Dr. Molly Makos Fraser was born and raised right here in New Jersey. So, she is especially excited to have the opportunity to help her friends and neighbors at Columbus Dental Arts! For her, the best thing about being a dentist is having the opportunity to help patients maintain healthy and beautiful smiles. She’d love to meet you and hear all about your smile goals at your next appointment, but until then, you can learn a little more about her right here!
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
From a young age, Dr. Molly Makos Fraser knew she wanted to enter the field of healthcare. However, it wasn’t until a number of shadowing experiences and long talks with her mentors that she committed to dentistry. All these years later, she knows it was the right choice! She genuinely loves helping others, especially when it comes to something as important as oral health.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Molly Makos Fraser earned her undergraduate degree at Clemson University (Go Tigers!). It was during this time that she realized she missed the northeast, so she completed her dental education at the University of Pennsylvania. Not only did she graduate with honors in radiology, but she also earned membership in the Matthew Cryer Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, Dr. Molly Makos Fraser completed a dual degree program, earning her MS in higher education as well. Her passion for education and thirst for knowledge is endless. She even began working at Albert Einstein Medical Center as a general practice dental resident and has undergone advanced training in endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implant dentistry. Plus, she is Invisalign certified and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and the New Jersey State Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Molly Makos Fraser and her husband (who she met during her second year of dental school) recently got married. If that wasn’t exciting enough, they also just bought a home, which is where they reside with their “pandemic pup,” Murph. In her free time, she loves trying new restaurants, cooking, staying active, spending time with family, and traveling. She’s also a huge Philadelphia sports fan – she was in attendance when the Phillies won the World Series in 2008!
